Tensile strength
Tensile strength varies according to the width of the tie.
UV resistance
All polymers, including polyamide, are sensitive to ultraviolets (UV)
Natural cable ties offer a low resistance to UV rays and are not recommended for exterior applications.
Black cable-ties are loaded with carbon powder to increase UV resistance. They are therefore recommended for exterior applications.
Heat resistance
All polymers, including polyamide, are very sensitive to extreme temperatures. Exposure to temperatures that are too high or too low can cause a decrease or loss of mechanical strength.
